Cutting Supervisor
The Apparel Industry Cutting Supervisor will oversee the cutting process of materials used to create garments
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Apparel Industry Cutting Supervisor to oversee our cutting process and ensure that our garments meet our high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cutting techniques and equipment, as well as experience managing a team of cutters.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the cutting of materials used in the production of garments
- Train new employees on the cutting process and provide ongoing training for existing employees
- Develop and implement cutting schedules to meet production goals and deadlines
- Monitor the quality of materials being cut and take corrective action when necessary
- Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed and that all employees are aware of safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage
- Communicate with other departments, such as design and production, to ensure that materials are available when needed
- Collaborate with other supervisors to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field is a plus
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in apparel cutting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of cutting equipment and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
